Humanism Defined
Humanism is a rational, people-centered philosophy, that espouses the values of honesty, compassion, individual freedom, equality, social and economic justice. Humanism believes in the separation of church and state.
Humanist support the secular, constitutional republic and the democratic process.
Humanist endorse nurturing our environment as well as the humans and animals who share our planet.
Humanist believe that humanity evolved from more primitive life forms and do not find sufficient evidence to support a belief in the supernatural or in an afterlife.
Many Christians find it difficult and frustrating to work within humanistic programs because of the infiltration of new age philosophies and the exclusion of God.
